Reflections on Courage

Today’s theme is courage – a quality all of us wish to have, but which most of us don’t. Courage comes from various sources – from strong values, from the support of family and friends, from wealth and power, from faith, from Nature, from self-confidence, from optimism and hope, from devotion to a great cause or to a loved one, from the need to survive at all costs... But, I believe, the greatest kind of courage comes from detachment and surrender to Divine will, because when one is detached, one need not fear the loss of anyone or anything, and when one surrenders to Divine will, protection and contentment is always certain. However, this kind of courage, which can empower humans to do the impossible and face the unimaginable, is the most difficult kind of courage to acquire.
