At the International Conference on The Future of Humanities in an AI-driven World, organised by the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, from 11 to 13 July 2025, noted scholar Dr. Rositta Joseph delivered a thought-provoking plenary address titled "A Return to Humanities through AI: The Indian Context." In her address, Dr. Joseph emphasised the growing relevance of humanities in an era increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence. Highlighting the Indian context, she noted that while AI continues to transform industries, the humanities remain essential for guiding the human-centred application of AI, particularly in a diverse and pluralistic society like India. The plenary session was attended by academicians, researchers, and students from around the world, all eager to engage with emerging ideas on the intersection of technology and the human condition.
